Product registration fails or the app shows null or DEVICE OFFLINE
Symptom
Product registration fails or the app shows null or DEVICE OFFLINE
Check this first
The ElecQUA Thermostat registers on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. If null or DEVICE OFFLINE appears immediately after registration, verify the Wi-Fi band, network name and password, then try registration again.
Check in this order
- Confirm that the phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Enter the network name and password carefully, distinguishing 0 from O and 1 from lowercase l.
- Touch the product power button for five seconds and confirm that the white LED is blinking.
- Connect to the product network beginning with ElecQUA_, keep the connection if an internet warning appears, and return to the app.
- If the router name or password changed, remove the old product entry, reset the product and register it again.
Never send the actual Wi-Fi password to support. WPA3, mixed security modes and allowed characters require version-specific confirmation.

Turbo keeps running but the water does not reach the target temperature
Symptom
Turbo keeps running but the water does not reach the target temperature
Check this first
Cooling performance is not a guaranteed target temperature; it is the water-temperature difference measured against an aquarium without the product installed under the same conditions. Check aquarium size and room temperature together with heat from equipment, ventilation, water flow, and sensor placement.
Check in this order
- Confirm the aquarium dimensions and whether a rear or bottom sump is included.
- Check the actual peak room temperature, target temperature and current water temperature.
- Confirm that the heat exchanger is fully submerged and the upper and lower vents are open.
- Place the sensor away from the heat exchanger where the water is mixed evenly.
- Review lighting, filter and pump heat, lower-tank circulation and heat-sink cleaning.
Aquarium volume alone cannot guarantee a target temperature or cooling time. A temporarily unchanged display does not establish a product fault.

03Symptom
The displayed temperature jumps or cooling and heating repeat
Symptom
The displayed temperature jumps or cooling and heating repeat
Check this first
Check not only the sensor but also moisture or debris in the connector, the sensor connection and whether poor circulation creates a temperature difference between the sensor and the aquarium.
Check in this order
- Disconnect product power, then remove the water-temperature sensor.
- Wipe the metal terminal with a dry cloth and fully dry any moisture around the connector using cool air.
- Reconnect the sensor completely before reconnecting product power.
- Submerge the sensor where water is mixed evenly and away from the heat exchanger.
- Check filter blockage and lower-tank circulation, then compare with the spare sensor if the symptom remains.
Do not conclude that the sensor is defective before these checks. Compare thermometers only after both readings stabilize in the same location.

The app shows DEVICE OFFLINE after a power outage
Symptom
The app shows DEVICE OFFLINE after a power outage
Check this first
When power returns, the product turns on and uses its saved settings unless it was reset with a five-second touch. If only the app is offline, do not remove or reset the product; check the router connection first.
Check in this order
- Confirm that the product LED is on and check its actual operation.
- Do not reset the product or delete it from the app.
- Disconnect and reconnect power to the wireless router.
- Swipe down on the product details screen to request the latest status.
- Check whether the app remains offline after the router reconnects.
DEVICE OFFLINE in the app alone does not mean that the product itself has stopped. No fixed delay is stated for power-outage notifications.

05Symptom
The product switches to OFF without being touched
Symptom
The product switches to OFF without being touched
Check this first
The ElecQUA Thermostat uses a capacitive touch sensor. A large water drop on the power button or noise from wiring near the sensor may be recognized as a touch. Touch Lock can block touch input caused by nearby noise.
Check in this order
- Check whether a large water drop reached the power button.
- Check whether wiring near the touch sensor changed after moving the aquarium or lighting.
- Enable Touch Lock in the app.
- Check Touch Lock again after a power outage or adapter reconnection.
- Record how often the symptom repeats and the LED/app state at that time.
Do not conclude that the product or a specific cable is the cause before inspection. If the symptom repeats with Touch Lock enabled, installation photos are needed.

06Symptom
The app shows 0.0°C after power is reconnected
Symptom
The app shows 0.0°C after power is reconnected
Check this first
The latest water temperature may not yet be reflected in the app immediately after power is restored. Check the product LED and actual operation first, then request the latest status in the app.
Check in this order
- Confirm that the product LED is on and check the actual operation.
- Open the product details screen in the app.
- Swipe down to request the latest status.
- Check whether the water temperature is within the target and sensitivity range with no mode change.
- Confirm whether 0.0°C remains after refreshing.
Do not diagnose a sensor fault or reboot from the 0.0°C display alone. Existing documents give different update times, so this page does not promise a fixed waiting time.

07Symptom
The LED colours keep changing
Symptom
The LED colours keep changing
Check this first
The ElecQUA Thermostat LED shows cooling, heating, stable, registration and fault states. If several colours repeat continuously, check the power adapter, installation, ventilation and cleaning condition.
Check in this order
- Record which colours repeat: blue, red, turquoise, blinking purple, blinking orange or blinking white.
- Confirm that the supplied original power adapter is connected.
- Check that the upper and lower vents are open and well ventilated.
- Check the heat sink for dust, debris or grease.
- Record a short video of the repeated sequence and disconnect power.
Do not assign the cause to the adapter, ventilation or contamination before inspection. Check the manual's fault guidance for blinking purple or orange.

08Symptom
Can the heat exchanger be exposed during a water change?
Symptom
Can the heat exchanger be exposed during a water change?
Check this first
The heat exchanger must remain fully submerged during operation. If a water change may expose it, turn the product off first and restart only after refilling and confirming that it is fully submerged.
Check in this order
- Confirm that the heat exchanger is fully submerged before the water change.
- Turn the product off first if the water level may expose the heat exchanger.
- Keep the product off until the water change is complete.
- Refill the aquarium and confirm that the heat exchanger is fully submerged.
- Check the product and sensor connections before turning power back on.
Do not rely on an assumed safe exposure time or automatic shutoff. If the product operated while fully exposed, check its condition and contact support.

09Symptom
The power adapter feels hot
Symptom
The power adapter feels hot
Check this first
The power adapter may become warm while cooling or heating. Confirm that it is the supplied adapter and use it in a well-ventilated location without stacking it with other adapters or placing it in an enclosed space.
Check in this order
- Confirm that it is the supplied original power adapter.
- Check whether the product is cooling, heating or stable.
- Check whether the adapter is stacked with others or placed in an enclosed space.
- Inspect it for cracks, deformation, discolouration or unusual odour.
- Check the label to ensure that another product's adapter was not connected.
Heat alone does not establish either normal operation or a fault. Stop using the product and contact support with photos if there are cracks, deformation, discoloration, or an unusual odor. This guidance is not an absolute guarantee of safety.

How should the product be cleaned?
Symptom
How should the product be cleaned?
Check this first
Dust, debris and grease on the heat sink interfere with heat transfer and may cause reduced performance or product damage if left for a long time. Disconnect power, keep the controller dry and clean the heat sink regularly.
Check in this order
- Disconnect the power adapter and water-temperature sensor.
- Remove the product from the aquarium and keep the detached controller in a dry place.
- Inspect the heat sink and intake/exhaust areas for dust, debris and grease.
- Clean the heat sink with air spray, a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush.
- Confirm that the product is fully dry and correctly assembled before reinstalling it.
Do not immerse the controller or disassemble the product. Cleaning needs vary by environment, so this page does not specify one fixed interval.
